Enthiran Audio Release

Shankar’s mega budget science-fiction movie Enthiran audio release will take place on July 18th. Enthiran stars Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. Enthiran distribution rights was purchased by Sun Pictures.
Oscar award winner A.R Rahman has scored music for the film Enthiran and it has created lot of expectations among fans.
Enthiran made at a cost of Rs. 165 crores, the film is expected to be made on the highest ever film budget in Indian cinema, surpassing that of the 2009 Bollywood film Blue.

Shankar’s mega budget  Endhiran has been making headlines for past 3 years and is now close on the heels of completion. With the film’s production cost crossing the above-the-line of 100Crs, Shankar is busy now working on a stunt sequence in Chennai now.

A particular sequence, where Rajinikanth bashes down the baddies and moves of out a place along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is being shot in Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam. Director Shankar during the audio launch of his production Rettai Suzhi reported that few sequences are still pending and will be completed by next month.

Peter Hein and his crew have been choreographing the stunt sequences and Aishwarya Rai has camped in Chennai for past couple of weeks. On pars, she’ll be shooting for Manirathnam’s Raavana as well. Meanwhile, A.R. Rahman is working continuously on background score for the scenes that have been already shot and processed through post production works.

The Rajnikanth-Aishwarya Rai starrer, one of the costliest films ever made in India, will be released during August this year, it is believed. The film has been made at a coast of Rs 125 crore.

The sci-fi film stars Rajni in a double role, it is believed. No effort has been spared to make the movie conform to international standards. Some of the best Hollywood technicians have been working behind the scenes. Oscar winner AR Rahman sets the tunes; another Oscar winner, Resul Pookutty has joined ‘Endhiran’ recently.

Almost 90 percent of the film is complete, wrote Shankar in his blog recently. The film, being made in Tamil, would be dubbed into Hindi, Telugu and English later. Sun Pictures produces the film.

Oscar winning sound designer Resul Pookutty has been signed up by Shankar to mix sounds for his magnum opus ‘Endhiran, the Robot’.

AR Rahman, his fellow Academy award winner, is in charge of the music department.

The science fiction film has some of the best technicians in Hollywood working in it. The film, touted to be the biggest in the history of Indian cinema in terms of scale and international appeal, stars Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead.

Resul, who was selected for the Oscar for his astounding work in Danny Boyle’s ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, is one of the best sound designers in India. His work in films like ‘Black’ had been the talk of Bollywood much before he bagged the Oscar.

Recently, he surprised film buffs with his amazing work in ‘Pazhassi Raja’. The visual effects in the period film was a treat for the ears and had enhanced the visuals a great deal. It is reported that Resul is already on the look out for sounds to be used for ‘Endhiran’.

The humble young man from Kollam in Kerala will soon be awarded a doctorate by the Sanskrit University of Kerala.

Director Shankar, who has been tight-lipped so far about his action-packed sci-fi Tamil film ENTHIRAN starring superstar Rajinikanth and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai, reveals that the movie is almost finished and has lots of surprises in store for the audience.

“‘Endhiran’ is almost complete. 90 percent of the shooting is over,” Shankar wrote on his blog www.directorshankaronline.com.

“I have just finished the action sequences of the film ‘Endhiran’ in Pune and Lonawala. both the leading artists of the film were present during the shooting,” he wrote.

Shankar has also uploaded some of the stills of the film on his blog. This is said to be the first official release of the stills of the movie.

A year ago some pictures taken surreptitiously during the shooting of a song in Peru in South America were released and Shankar had protested, saying it was a pirated work.

Shankar launched the blog Jan 1 in a bid to interact with his fans.

The other sections of the blog that will update fans about the progress on the film have not been activated yet.

“While (his last blockbuster) ‘Sivaji’ was about black money and corruption, ‘Endhiran’ is about an andro humanoid robot Prem. The first half of ‘Endhiran’ is full of surprises. The second half is a roller coaster ride,” he wrote.

The director also promises to share information about the making of his magnum opus “Endhiran”.

Being made on a budget of Rs.125 crore, the film has hogged the limelight since it was launched. Sun Pictures is producing it.

Shankar, whose “Sivaji” was released on June 15 in 2007, may screen “Endhiran” in April or June this year.

Last ,we got news that  Aishwarya  is no more in the movie; two days later, we heard that she is once again in the reckoning. So as of now, she still has one foot in. Next, we heard that Arjun, who has already teamed up with Shankar twice before, is playing a pivotal role in Robot. But the latest is that Shankar  has roped in Amithabh Bachchan as well!

The Super Star of Bollywood and the Super Star of Kollywood have shared screen space in Hindi films, but this will be the first time they get together in a Tamil flick.

Kalabhavan Mani is now currently doing certain good roles in Enthiran, Modhi Vilayadu and Saritharam.

While speaking to the media recently he said,” I am doing the lead role in two Malayalam film after a long  time. Moreover I will be acting if I get an important role.

I have not forgotten Tamil since I am acting in Malayalam films. I am acting in villain and character roles. I have also lot of Telugu flims in hand. I will act as per the dates available. Currently I am acting in Rajinikanth starrer Endhiran in some important roles.

I am doing a character role filled with comedy. Apart from this I am acting in Modhi Vilayadu and Saritharam. I have a good response in Tamil cinema. I have acted in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu cinema. I do not know the figure of films I have acted.

I act in films not for Award sake. If I get a good role I will act wholeheartedly. I am happy that people are receiving well.”

Interesting snippet for the fans of Superstar Rajnikanth on his forthcoming movie Endiran. While the mega movie remains a closed book, as the makers are keeping the production a guarded secret, interesting incidences connected with the movie do keep the fans thrilled.

Endiran somehow seems to be having links with Vellore and it may be recalled that some sequences of this Rajnikanth-Aishwarya starrer were shot in the picturesque campus of the VIT University here in January this year. Now a stunt artist from here has worked for the movie recently to coach the heroine in martial arts.

‘It was a memorable experience’ recalled ‘Karate’ Ramesh, who runs Japan Shito-Ryu karate school here for over 30 years, which is affiliated to the World Karate Federation.

He said that a couple of weeks back he had received a phone call from Peter Hein, the stunt master for Endiran, offering him to coach for Aishwarya Rai, the basics of karate.

‘I readily agreed because it is a lifetime offer to work in the mega movie’ Ramesh noted. In the movie, the heroine learns karate from the hero. ‘While the hero Rajnikanth already knows these steps, I had to coach the heroine and her friends’ Ramesh claimed.

In addition, Ramesh also appears in the climax fight scene as a Black Cat commando member. According to him Aishwarya was a quick learner and without much rehearsal she was able to repeat the karate movements.

He has already acted for a Manirathnam movie Iruvar (1997) in which Aishwarya was the heroine, where he duped for Mohanlal in some fight sequences.

‘I used to watch Aishwarya Rai from a distance in that movie. But now I had the opportunity to coach her for Endiran’ Ramesh added showing a photograph he has taken with her after the shooting.

Interestingly Ramesh claimed that he is the only qualified karate champion and a master in the art among the 600 plus stunt artists at the Kollywood’s tinsel industry and the natural choice was to get him booked for Endiran.

He had taken 200 of his ‘black-belt’ students from his school to take part in a fight sequence for the Madhavan starrer Arya last year.

Ramesh began his career as a cine artist when he made a debut as a hero in a Tamil movie Neerupootha Neruppu which turned out to be a flop, following which he took up a career as a stunt artist.

So far he has acted in over 400 movies made in South India since 1986 with almost all the leading heroes of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages.

இந்த மெகா செட்டில்தான் எந்திரனில் விஞ்ஞானியாக வரும் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினி 100 ரோபோக்களோடு மோதுவதாக காட்சிகளை எடுக்கிறார்கள். இந்த 100 ரோபோக்களும் விஞ்ஞானி ரஜினியைப் போன்றே தோற்றம் கொண்டவை என்பதுதான் இந்தக் காட்சியின் விசேஷம்.

எந்திரன் சிறப்பு குறித்து ஒரு நாளிதழுக்கு சாபு சிரில் அளித்துள்ள பேட்டி:

எந்திரனைப் பொறுத்தவரை, அது எனக்கு மிகவும் விருப்பமான ஒரு படம். காரணம் இதுதான் எனக்கு 100 வது படம். இந்தப் படத்தோடு இன்று நேற்றல்ல… 10 ஆண்டுகளாக எனக்கு தொடர்புண்டு. இந்தக் கதையை என்னிடம்தான் முதன்முதலில் சொன்னார் இயக்குநர் ஷங்கர். 10 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பே இதன் கலை இயக்குநராக ஒப்பந்தமாகிவிட்டேன். அப்போது இந்தப் படத்தில் கமல் நடிப்பதாக இருந்தது. இந்தப் படத்துக்கு போட்டோ செஷன் கூட நடந்தது.

ரஜினி – பொருத்தமான தேர்வு!

பின்னர் இந்தப் படத்தில் ஷாரூக் கான் நடிப்பதாக இருந்தது. ஆனால் அதுவும் நடக்கவில்லை. இப்போது ரஜினிகாந்த் இந்தப்படத்தில் நடிக்கிறார். அவர் இந்தப் படத்துக்கு மிகப் பொருத்தமானவர்…

அலுமினியம் கலந்த உலோகத் தகடுகளால் (Aluminum Composite Panel) இந்தப் படத்துக்கு செட்கள் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

இந்த மாதிரி செட் இந்தியாவிலேயே எந்திரனுக்குதான் முதல்முறையாக அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. சுற்றுச் சூழலுக்கு ஆபத்து விளைவிக்காத, மரத்தை விட மூன்றில் ஒரு பங்கு மட்டுமே செலவு பிடிப்பது இந்த அலுமினியக் கலவை தகடுகள். பார்ப்பதற்கும் மிகப் பிரமாதமான பினிஷிங் கிடைக்கும். விரும்பிய மாதிரி மடக்க முடியும். இன்னொன்று இந்த உலோகத்தை சுழற்சி முறையில் மறு பயன்பாட்டுக்கும் உபயோகிக்கலாம்.

குறித்த பட்ஜெட்டுக்குள் எடுக்கும் விஞ்ஞானப் படங்களில் பணிபுரிவதில் எப்போதுமே அதிக ஆர்வம் உண்டு எனக்கு. ஆனால் ஹாலிவுட்டுக்கு இணையாக இந்தியப் படங்களில் விஞ்ஞான செட்களை அமைப்பதில் உள்ள சவால் எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடிக்கும்.

அந்த வகையில் எந்திரனுக்கு செட் அமைப்பது என் வாழ்க்கையின் மிகப்பெரிய சவாலாக நினைக்கிறேன். உலகின் மிகச் சிறந்த கலைப் படைப்பாக எந்திரன் அமையும் என்பதை நிரூபிப்பேன்”, என்கிறார் சாபு சிரில்.
