Finally, we are just few hours away from the release of India’s biggest budget film Enthiran – The Robot. After waiting for three years, fans are excited to watch superstar Rajinikanth on-screen.

According to reports, Tamil version will be releasing in 1450 theatres with 1000 plus prints. movie tickets in Tamil Nadu has been sold for a week. It includes PVR, Sathyam Cinemas, Inox etc. In Chennai alone the movie is releasing in over 30 theatres.

Enthiran Started !!! Storming the theatres now

In Andhra Pradesh, Thota Kannarao has the rights for Telugu version of the film Robo. In some regions the movie will be released in both Tamil and Telugu version. In Hyderabad and many big cities, tickets for three days have been sold out.

In Karnataka, it is a different case, as the distributor and the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) is yet to settle the dispute regarding prints. It has allowed to screen the film in 35 theatres from three versions. According to the rules of the KFCC, a non-Kannada movie can be screened in only 24 theatres. But the distributors are demanding 60 theatres.

The Hindi version of Enthiran has also grabbed attention among North Indian fans. Sources say that the movie has generated huge-hype in Mumbai.

In US and Europe, ticket booking started 10 days ago and were sold out in few hours. The movie is also releasing in Colosseum Kino, the largest cinema hall in Oslo (Norway).

The three versions of the film is releasing in over 3000 screens (2250 prints) worldwide on Friday, October 1 (today).

The first public show of Enthiran was held at Dubai today early in the morning. The buzz seems to be good about the film. As one of the persons who saw the film said “Enthiran Oru Manthiran.

The feedback has been positive, though people say “it is not a typical Rajinikanth film, it’s more a Shankar technical wizardry. But the last 15 minutes of the film is spellbinding and would go down as one of the best climax scenes in recent times.”

Meanwhile shows have started in other parts of the world, though the first public show in Chennai would be around 4 am now, in one of the suburban theatres. Getting the all-time biggie, Enthiran, ready for worldwide release on October 1 with a record 2,200 prints, Sun Pictures’ chief operating officer Hansraj Saxena is beaming with confidence that the magic combo of his production house with Superstar Rajinikanth, beauty queen Aishwarya Rai, ace director Shankar and music maestro A.R. Rahman is bound to click.
“Making the possible the impossible has been the motto of Sun Pictures. We have made Enthiran possible,” Mr Saxena told Deccan Chronicle, sharing some thoughts that had gone into the making the trilingual (Robot in Telugu and Hindi) that consumed `160 crores and two years.

Asked what gave Sun Pictures the confidence to make a South Indian film, which has limited market, with a massive budget, he said, “Frankly, we did not plan anything at the first level of discussion. Rajini sir, Kalanidhi and Shankar met and took a call that we will jointly make a quality film. At that stage, nothing was discussed as to how to market it or how to make it big. The movie just got bigger at each stage — the songs, locations, computer graphics — and everything turned out amazingly well. We were simply pumping in money as demanded by the script. And ended up getting a product that’s of an unimaginably grand scale.”

On Mr Maran’s comment during the audio release that Rajini was yet to take his remuneration, the Sun COO said when the project was launched, the superstar said he would talk about salary only when the film got released. “He is modesty personified. Now it’s time for us to give back.”
On Sun’s plans, Mr Saxena said they would make big budget movies as well as quality films of smaller budgets next year. And as for talks that Sun was planning a Rajini-Jackie Chan flick — “It sounds nice; but whether we are doing a Jackie Chan film or not, I can vouch that we are well equipped with technical and financial expertise to come out with a Hollywood film.”

Enthiran countdown begins: The most awaited film of the year “Enthiran” is slated to hit theatres on 1st October, 2010 ( tomorrow ).

The film stars South superstar Rajnikanth and Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai. Advance booking had started in Chennai last Saturday and within an hour all tickets were sold.

Diehard fans of Rajnikanth were seen standing in queues outside cinema halls from 3 in the morning to get their tickets.

Age is no bar with respect to Rajnikanth’s fans. His fans are gearing up to watch his most expensive and ambitious film till date.

A fan stated “Chandramukhi ran for 500 days but we’re sure Enthiran will run for a 1000 days.”

Without a doubt, Enthiran has turned out to be the biggest release of Superstar Rajnikanth throughout his career. Produced at a cost of Rs.125Crores, Sun Pictures are reported of having filled with pockets with big profits already. According to the trade reports, the film has been sold out for Rs. 205Crores.

Grandest opening for Enthiran

With a week left for the film’s opening, the booking plans opened up last evening across Tamil Nadu. Just as expected, the tickets for the first week (approximately 125 per day in Chennai alone) were sold out within an hour. The distributors and theatre exhibitors are sure-footed of spinning profits by the first week itself.

In Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu and Kannada releases have been postponed from last week of September to second week of October due to the grand release of “Enthiran’. It’s worth mentioning that Rajnikanth’s films in Telugu and Hindi have been successful. The multi-million dollar movie started its world promotion in Malaysia on July 31, reported Malaysian Nanban.

Rajnikanth fans seeking divine help for Enthiran success

The paper said that more than 100 hardcore fans, aged 14 to 60, many on their knees, climbed the steps of the Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Sholingur, about 120km from Chennai, reports the Star Online.

The fans took more than three hours to climb the 1,305 steps leading to the main temple and to perform special poojas for the success of the film.

On Reports, September first week Enthiran is expected to release in three languages around the globe.

Two years later, After Sajivi . All Rajini Sir fans were eagerly waiting for his wonderful movie Enthiran. All Songs on movie Enthiran was big successfully.
